Hydroxyapatite（CHTⅠ，CHTⅡ）is a unique composite mode rigid medium in downstream purification, with both ion exchange and metal affinity combination, possessing a special separation ability not found in other media. The medium can capture target proteins by calcium ions or positively charged groups by phosphates. It is made from inorganic materials sintered at high temperatures and do not contain any plant or animal components. The medium can be applied to the purification of different types of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, bis-antibodies and antibody fragments, recombinant proteins, vaccines, enzymes, nucleic acids, virus particles and other types of biomolecules. Two types of Hydroxyapatite, CHTⅠ and CHTⅡ, each offering a choice of three particle sizes. CHT I is suitable for acidic proteins and CHTⅡ is more suitable for the purification of large-particle biomolecules (>400kD) such as IgM, viruses, VLP, plasmids, etc. due to its larger pore size. Hydroxyapatite（CHTⅠ，CHTⅡ）can handle any stage from capture to purification.
