Protein A-Flu647

Protein A is a non-glycosylated protein of Staphylococcus aureus that binds with high affinity to the Fc fragments of different types of immunoglobulin molecules. Protein A consists of five IgG-binding structural domains (A, B, C, D, and E) and two Staphylococcus aureus cell membrane-binding structural domains, each of which is approximately 60 amino acids in length and is free of cysteines. The recombinant protein A consists of the IgG-binding structural domains only and is expressed in E. coli. Recombinant Protein A coupled to Fluor-647 can be used for immunoglobulin detection and assay development with excitation/emission wavelength = 649 nm/674 nm.
